Arts, culture and performance. Artisphere presented by TD Bank returns to downtown Greenville this weekend, May 12 to 14, to celebrate its 19th year.
A centerpiece of Greenville’s cultural calendar, Artisphere has distinguished itself as both a national and regional celebration of the arts.
Spanning Main Street from Wardlaw to Broad streets, Artist Row will feature 143 visual artists working in 17 different mediums. With 31 states represented, 17 artists on Artist Row are local.
In addition to visual art, Artisphere will feature a full lineup of musical performances on the WYFF 4 Broad Street stage. The Local Performing Arts Showcase will feature performers from the Greenville area in a variety of genres, from theater to jazz to ballet, and will be located in Falls Park.
Returning this year will be Spinx Kidsphere with crafts and music, including parades on Friday at 3:30 p.m., Saturday 12:45 and 5 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Located near the Liberty Bridge in Falls Park, the TCMU Imagination Playground’s big blocks are an innovative playground equipment system that transforms any space into a play space that encourages learning, social development and movement.
