[ARCHIVED] 3/15/2017 - NCAA Tourney Parking and Transportation Plan

The City has compiled the following parking and transportation information to help visiting and local fans plan their trips to downtown Greenville for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament this weekend:

Shuttles

To reduce the amount of vehicular traffic to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, there will be a free park and ride service to transport fans from Redemption Church at 635 Haywood Road to the arena during the days and times listed below. Park and ride passengers will be picked up and dropped off in front of the arena box office.

Thursday, March 16

10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

 

Friday, March 17

 

11 a.m. – 1 a.m.

Trolleys

 

Fans can also utilize Greenlink’s downtown trolleys to get to and from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Trolley stops are conveniently located near City parking facilities and downtown hotels, and the trolley route also includes the parking lot at Greenville County Square (301 University Ridge). A trolley route map is available at ridegreenlink.com.

The trolleys will service the arena during the following days and times. Fans can download the Trolley Tracker app (available for iPhone and Android) for real-time trolley locations by searching “Greenville Trolley Tracker.”

Friday, March 17

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

6 p.m. - Midnight

Sunday, March 19

1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Parking

For fans who drive downtown and wish to park near the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, event parking will only be available at certain City garages.


Thursday, March 16

Event parking ($6 flat rate) will be available at the Church Street Garage (320 N Church St) and the Liberty Square Garage (65 Beattie Place) for open practice.

Friday, March 17

Games 1 & 2: Event parking ($6 flat rate) will be available at the Church Street Garage and there will be limited spaces in the Liberty Square Garage and the Commons Garage (60 Beattie Place – adjacent to Hyatt Regency Greenville).

Games 3 & 4: Event parking ($6 flat rate) will be available at the Church Street Garage, the Liberty Square Garage and the Commons Garage.

Sunday, March 19

Event parking ($6 flat rate) will be available at the Church Street Garage, the Liberty Square Garage and the Commons Garage.

*For those willing to park farther away, parking will also be available in other City garages at the regular daily rate. Visit http://greenvillesc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/7889 for a map of parking facility locations.

Greenville Police Department Mobile App 

Fans are encouraged to download the Greenville Police Department’s free mobile app to receive alerts about issues such as parking and traffic throughout the tournament. The app, which also features a Parked Car Finder, is available for iPhone and Android by searching “Greenville Police Department.”
