Night of Lights

November 30, 5 to 8 p.m.
Main Street, from Broad Street to Court Street

Count down with Mayor White as we light the official Christmas tree and turn on all of the holiday plaza lights. This exciting new event includes food trucks and vendors, live music and a special visit from Santa Claus. Also, stop by United Community Bank Ice on Main for a special glow skate. All skaters receive glow sticks and a voucher to return to the rink at a discounted rate.


Poinsettia Christmas Parade

December 1, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Parade route stretches from Augusta Street to North Street on Main Street

For more than 75 years, the parade has signaled the start of the Christmas season in Greenville. Each year the parade attracts thousands of visitors downtown to view holiday floats and activities.

Window Decorating Contest

December 1 - 15

Downtown merchants will transform Main Street into a holiday wonderland for residents and visitors to enjoy. Visitors can stroll the streets and vote for their favorite merchant display from December 1 through December 15 by visiting the City’s Facebook page here.

Contest winners will be announced December 19.


Holiday Entertainment

Local caroling groups will stroll along Main Street singing holiday favorites the weekends of December 8 and 15.


Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movies 
Holiday Feature

December 12, 6 p.m.
Participating vendors include: Poppington's Popcorn, Mobile Meltdown and Coffee Underground

Take a break from shopping and watch a free classic holiday movie under the stars at Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movies. This year’s feature film is A Christmas Story. Come early to claim your spot in the park and enjoy holiday trivia! Lawn chairs and picnic dinners are allowed, but please leave pets at home.


FREE Holiday Parking

Downtown visitors can enjoy free parking December 14 through December 17 and December 21 and 22 in the Broad Street Garage, Richardson Street Garage and the West Washington Street Deck. In addition, free parking will be offered in all City parking facilities on December 23, 24 and 25. Free parking will begin at 6 a.m. on Sunday, December 23 and end at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26. Visit parking.greenvillesc.gov  for a complete listing of City parking locations.
