    I agree to conduct transactions with the City of Greenville by electronic means. I agree that the use of the name and date below in combination intends to serve as my signature authorization on permit applications and/or plans to be used for the review and issuance of building permits electronically. Any use of the name and date in combination binds me to the terms and conditions the same as my signature on the permit application. Additionally, I acknowledge that all permits applied for through this method may be delivered electronically.

  6. Tree Removal
    Per city Ordinance 19-6.3.2 Tree Protection and Replacement, Section (B), activity that results in the removal or injury of trees six inches or greater in DBH, that are not a recognized invasive species, and that are healthy and disease free not posing a risk to health, safety, or welfare, shall provide mitigation equal to or greater than the cumulative DBH of the tree removed / injured, or a fee in lieu of at market rate as defined in Appendix E. This shall apply to all non-residential parcels or residential parcels upon which there are no existing residences.

    Approval of this tree disturbance application shall not result in any additional requirements of the applicant. Denial of this application will result in the tree mitigation requirements as outlined in 19-6.3.2 (B) (4). This form must be completed by the city’s arborist or landscape architect. City may request the applicant supply an arborists report of the tree(s) in question prior to application processing.
  7. Existing Trees greater than 6" to be removed (including heritage trees) that are not a recognized invasive species, and that are healthy and disease free not posing a risk to health, safety, or welfare.

  10. Heritage Tree
    Per city Ordinance 19-6.3 Tree Protection and Replacement, Section (H)(6), a Heritage Tree Disturbance form shall be submitted for the trimming, pruning, encroachment upon, or removal of any Heritage Tree, which may fall outside of development activities.

    A Heritage Tree is defined as any tree greater than 20-inches diameter located within the setback or buffer area of a property, or any tree greater than 40-inches in diameter located anywhere on a property, excluding those exemptions as mentioned in 19-6.3.1 (C) Exemptions.

    Approval of this tree disturbance application shall not result in any additional requirements of the applicant. Denial of this application will result in the Heritage tree mitigation requirements as outlined in 19-6.3.1 (H). This form must be completed by the city’s arborist or landscape architect. City may request the applicant supply an arborists report of the tree(s) in question prior to application processing.
